The wait is over and the Bundesliga is back! It won’t be the same as a normal matchday, but for the first time in a long time, there is live football back on our screens and the Bundesliga is offering up some tasty fixtures. From the Revierderby to the relegation six-pointers, we will attempt to predict the results of each match. Each predictor will earn 10 points for guessing the correct score, 4 points for predicting the correct result (win, lose, or draw), and 0 points for getting both wrong and we will see who comes out on top. Prost!
Augsburg vs. Wolfsburg
One of the early kickoffs sees Wolfsburg travel to Augsburg for a middle of the table clash. The visiting side share the title of second best defense in the league with only 30 goals conceded and they will be tough to break down.
Brice: 1-3
Wolfsburg have massively improved over the last few seasons and I fancy them to finish the year strong.
Max: 1-2
Phil: 1-1
Borussia Dortmund vs. Schalke
The other early fixture needs no introduction…but we’ll give it one anyway. The Revierderby is one of the most hotly contested derbies in Europe and is the must-watch match of the weekend. Despite the absence of fans, which could prove to be a vital piece of the pageantry, this derby will be fierce on the pitch. The Champions League spots look out of reach for a Schalke side sitting in sixth place, but they won’t need any extra motivation for this one. Dortmund, on the other hand, will be desperate to put pressure on top dogs Bayern Munich.
Brice: 3-1
Max – 2-0
Predicting Haaland will score both goals for Dortmund. Surely double points if I guess that correctly too!?
Phil – 2-2

Düsseldorf vs. Paderborn
This isn’t the most glamorous fixture on the board as we see two sides in the relegation zone face off. There is plenty of football to be played and both sides have a chance of staying in the league and their pride is on the line as well.
Brice: 1-1
If you watch this one you are hardcore.
Max: 2-1
Phil: 2-0
RB Leipzig vs. Freiburg
Julian Nagelsmann has quickly emerged as one of the brightest young managers in Europe. Let’s see if he can keep them within touching distance of top spot.
Brice: 2-0
Max: 3-0
Phil: 2-1

Hoffenheim vs. Hertha Berlin
Brice: 0-0
Max: 1-0
Key man Derida misses through suspension for Hertha, so I think hoffenheim will just pip this one.
Phil: 2-1
Frankfurt vs. Borussia M’Gladbach
Gladbach have an army of cardboard awaiting them in Borussia-Park, but will have to do without them with this trip to Frankfurt. A plethora of attacking talent in this match should produce some goals.
Brice: 2-2
Two of the most exciting yet inconsistent teams in the league. There will be goals at both ends, but no winner.
Max: 1-3
Phil: 3-2

Köln vs. Mainz
Brice: 2-1
Max: 3-1
Phil: 1-1
Union Berlin vs. Bayern Munich
Good luck Union. That’s it. That’s the tweet.
Brice: 0-4
Max: 1-4
Union will score a consolation goal and that’s a win in my eyes. Go on you UNION!
Phil: 0-3

Werder Bremen vs. Leverkusen
This fixture pits two historic teams that are fighting their own battles on opposite ends of the table. The desperation of avoiding relegation could give Bremen the mental edge, but Leverkusen have the quality and plenty of motive as they push for the top four.
Brice: 2-1
Max: 1-2
Rashica to score for Werder Bremen but Havertz and co will be too strong.
Phil: 1-3
